Statement of Purpose & Blog Rules
I started this blog to be able to share my views on my Father, faith and politics. The politics are just an extension of my religious faith which is the case with everyone alive. Your god or God dictates your politics, so, they are inextricably intertwined.
One of the most critical things that I will blog about is our Super Ultra, Freedom in Christ and our Ironclad, Sure and Secure Relationship with Father, both of which are imparted to us through the presence of the Holy Spirit as He imparts His power, joy and peace. This is diametrically opposed to Churchianity, Legalism, Letterism, (Not David Letterism which is a whole different sin all to itself) Denominationalism, Gothardism, Casual Friday-ism or the last day at the State Fair when it always, always, ALWAYS rains!
I call the blog "The Madd Theologian" because I know that I must be Madd to think that I will be taken seriously having not been formally trained in the religious ideas of seminaries, Bible Schools, and other institutions of higher learning. In my mind this makes me (and you) uniquely qualified in that I just simply believe that the Holy Spirit is sufficient to teach us all things. This doesn't mean that I don't listen to the great minds of the faith. It just means that I don't listen to the little minds that are steeped in the "isms" mentioned above. (unless they have a valid Biblical, Spiritual point) I won't hold my breath and I suggest you do not either. The rules of this blog? Speak using Holy Spirit wisdom. No Kool Aid please. If I wanted to know which beats of a song were sinful I'd read Gothard. (I threw the red book out long ago with the fireplace ashes) Biblical truth, please, as validated by the Holy Spirit. I will trust you to do that just as you can trust me to challenge any point that I believe is steeped in Religion, Legalism, Letterism, Gothardism, Grumpy-ism... (what were the other two spiritual dwarf's names?) And I encourage bloggers here to do the same. Anyway, you get the point.
My tag line is: "What?... Me Worry?!!" Our freedom in Christ is so complete and our fate so secure that, there is literally NOTHING to worry about. Religious folk will try to draw you in to worship them. All they can do is force shame and guilt down your throat... and this, they will do.
Their agenda is based upon man's predisposition to make others worship them. It is up to us to refuse it and refute it. Jesus refused the sponge of vinegar held up for Him. I suggest that we refuse the "gall" that is offered up to us by the "Religious"!! (They sure do have a lot of gall!... I know, bad joke!... Get used to it) You will see it written here I am sure. Feel free to refute it! No, it is our responsibility to refute it! Many of them will hate us. No biggy. We allow the Father to define us, right? Not others, especially the religious. Did it ever occur to you that when Jesus was turned over to be crucified that he answered the religious "not a word", however, he answered the political authorities? What does that tell us about those who would distort the Gospel (Good News) about Jesus' purchase of our souls on the cross through legalism?! They have no authority over us! Absolutely not one iota of a jot or tittle of any authority over us. We are FREE, however, to refute ideas in order to make sure that the truth of our freedom remains intact for others. No, it is an absolute necessity!! So as your most gracious facilitator and total flake of a madd theologian, I grant you freedom to do just that, here.
Humor is not manditory but appreciated as the only thing life and death about this exercise is getting it right about our Freedom in Christ as an extension of our lives as lived in the real world. Don't talk religion here or you may not be well received, but, if you have a valid point, hang in there and state your case. If you don't have a valid point backed up by a good solid thought process led by the Holy Spirit, and Biblically based, then: "Don't sell crazy... We're all full up here!" (From "As Good As It Gets") God Bless You, and, let's have some fun!! <[-:)
